Wow, Jay Electronica is keeping it funky for y’all muhfuckas. I’m with him. You guys may or may not be familiar with his record Exhibit C, but in the first verse he refers to a time “when New York n****s was calling southern rappers lame, but then jackin’ our slang”. Real. Fuckin’. Talk.

“Show me a man that [say he can eat] Dre´3000, and I’ll show you a liar!” Fuckin’ right. God knows I love California. I love New York…y’all started this shit! Y’all had your time, but The South is running this rap shit right now. Try and tell me something different!

Y’all probably already know that he has a child with and is in an ongoing relationship with the queen of Neo-soul, Erykah Badu. So naturally, I found it funny that he mentioned her other two baby-daddies in the interview as being part of the list of great southern rappers. But shit, I can’t say I disagree.
